Description

M33 in Triangulum, the 2nd closest galaxy to Earth and part of our local group of galaxy's. This image of M33 was taken from my backyard observatory under suburban Bortle 5 skies using a 6" refractor and my QSI 683 camera. I've never in the past been able to resolve individual blue giant stars and clusters within the galaxy but this time it worked out. The image is a LRGB and Ha composite taken during the month of October. The huge amount of emission nebula within M33 is astounding. On the web page I included an image of just the Ha data. Some of the emission nebula are giants. Thanks for taking a look.
