Description

NGC 2683 is a spiral galaxy located between 16 and 25 million light years in the lynx constellation. It was discovered in 1788 by William Herschel. From the Earth's point of view it is almost in profile. It is a galaxy rich in globular clusters (about 300, twice as many as in the Milky Way).
