Description

Copernicus Crater is probably one of the most well-known and characteristic formations of the lunar relief. The light trails in its radiant system are particularly visible.
At the top and right of Clavius, the contrast is stark between the Crater Eratosthenes, with the terraced ramparts and its neighbour Stadius, whose enclosure has completely disappeared in several places and whose arena is riddled with small craters in wells.
