Description

With the dawn coming I had a nice alignment of the planets and obliging the Zodiacal Lights traces their path along the ecliptic in this image. The arc of the Milky Way was well placed at left and my small domed observatory looks like a small thing all this grandeur.

I took 24 x 30 sec images with the 14mm f/2.8 Samyang lens. I waved my torch in front of the observatory to paint that into one of the images. The images were star aligned in PI and then the processed image added to the foreground shot in Photoshop. The lens distortion meant that I had to combine the 24 image integration with one of 6 images where the distortion was less apparent.
