My second trial on some galaxies with my new WO scope (btw, I love it 😊😊😊!!). And I had a great guide with the image by Gary Imm (
https://www.astrobin.com/as0d9b/?nc=collection&nce=1924). As always, I have to pull my hat to Gary's image, he is really a master of the art.
My clear nights are rare, so I had to target a galaxy group to make the most out of it (a single galaxy if not big seems to be a waste of time (which is absolutely not true!!), but it creeped into my mind like that, could not help it.
Here my try in the Hickson 68 group, and I got a little bonus with the NGC 5371 and a bunch of smaller galaxies (see Version C).
I must say, almost the most difficult part was to pick the target, I searched through catalogs and used AstroPlanner (recommended by Gary as well 😊) for hours.
And as problematic: the flaw of the ASI1600 with bright stars, it took me forever to get rid of all the artifacts that this camera produces around them, a nightmare!
