Description

I choose to shoot at this target mainly to capture the Bow shock produced by the black hole Cygnus X-1.
I mist admit that the processing wasn't easy at all. The two night I acquired the data weren't so good and this resulted in a very noisy image with low SNR, especially in the OIII channel.
Besides, the bow shock was very faint so I worked hard to make it clearly visible: in the starless image it was clear but when the stars were added it almost disappeared.

This isn't of course a perfect image, but I'm quite happy I was able to capture such a faint effect produced by a black hole with my telescope in my backyard: these are the satisfaction that astrophotography can give !

Clear Skies !
