Description

This object, also known as IC 1454, is a rarely imaged planetary nebula located 14,000 light years away in the constellation of Cepheus at a declination of +80 degrees. The PN spans 40 arc-seconds in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of almost 3 light years.

This PN is the most northern of all of the Abell PNs. Very little information exists on this object. The central star is barely visible. The signal is primarily OIII and the overall bluish donut shape reminds me of IC 5148.
