Description

A mosaic of 5 panels (i.e. 2 x 2 + central superimposed). Each panel : 30 x 8 seconds exposures using SharpCap livestack. On July 14 2021 the Sky and Telescope website published an article titled "In Heaven With M7, A Portal Into The Deep" which described M7 and various close by objects. This is an attempt to recreate the article's main image using regular EAA viewing techniques. However, this required creating a mosaic as not all objects could be fitted into a single frame. Most of the objects mentioned in the article are highlighted by Astrobin but a couple are not. So a labelled image is also posted here. In particular, note Cannon 2-1 which is a small but noticeably blue planetary nebula near the bottom of the mosaic. This was first studied by Annie Jump Cannon (of OBAFGKM) fame.
