Description

So we got few days of clear skies in between the smoke filled days which helped me capture this subject. My original plan was to capture at least 40 hours of this faint target, but the Smoke Gods of California had different ideas. I ended up with about 31 hours of data, which is not bad still. I wanted to add RGB stars, but that too didn't work out. I will probably create another version with RGB stars when the smoke clears.

It was literally impossible to create a useable image of WR 134 with my regular narrowband workflow. So I tried tone mapping in PI to which was an entirely new experience for me. It also gave me confidence to go back and look at some of the other faint nebulas that I captured in the past and could not complete processing because of very low SNR.
