Description

IC 405 (Sh 2-229, Caldwell 31) is an emission and reflection nebula that surrounds the star AE Aurigae.  It is around 1,500 years away and spans about 5 light years.

IC 405 was photographed between 4 and 13 November 2021.  Capture details are as follows:

Telescope: TEC140
Camera: QSI 690
Filters: Astrodon
Mount: 10 Micron GM2000HPS

SII: 24 x 1200s
Ha: 24 x 1200s
OIII: 24 x 1200s

A total of 24 hours exposure.
