Description

Located inside the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the milky way, the Tarantula Nebula is around 160,000 light years from earth. It's also the most active star forming region in the local group, and is so bright that if it was as close as M42 it would cast shadows here on earth.

Astrofckup: I had major tilt issues (seen on the right) so cropped out alot of the right hand side of the image. Luckily I had framed the nebula to be a third from the left.
