Description

This was a major effort for me. I have some serious issues with my stacked images, with what I think stems from something to do with my flat frames. Every image I take at the moment is affected, and I am not sure what to do - there is a redness across much of the image, and in some ways it worsens after using DBE. I am also struggling to sort out the blotchy background that seems to keep happening at this time. It is all so frustrating. Anyway, after the stack I was amazed to discover that I had captured the faintest, faintest little bit of detail around the owl nebula - the outer ring - which considering I did not do any narrowband for this, surprised me. So, I then obsessed in trying to draw some of it out... and I think I have just about done so. If you stand on your head and close one eye, it is definitely there, sort of, maybe. And of course taming those three central stars was a challenge also! 59 subs at 300s each, an integration time of just under 5 hours. Thanks everyone....
