Description

CG4 is a cometary globule located in the constellation of Puppis, about 1,300 light years away. The head of the nebula is approx 1.5 light years in diameter and looks like the mouth of some slug-like creature reaching out to devour the spiral galaxy ESO257-019 (the galaxy in reality is a over 100 million light years more distant).
This hungry looking nebula trying to eat a galaxy reminds me of the Millennium Falcon escaping the mouth of the space slug (Exogorth) in the asteroid  in The Empire Strikes Back
