Description

Inspired by Sigga's fine work on white dots! I hope to eventually spot a galaxy in here....

The revision uses:

On the advice of Wei, the Nikon firmware hack. The Nikon nef files are processed internally and are not really raw. The hack, which is temporary, gets rid of the processing and output the actual data. This is important also for the control files.

The hacked firmware does not work with Maxin, so on Wei's advice, I used DigCamController. This completely controlled the Nikon remotely and runs side-by-side with the rest of all my software.

The flats were better but not perfect and there is still a lot of noise in the background. The revision is 56 x 60s images.

At least I have something I can work with here. I plan to add a clip-in H-alpha filter and shoot the Sharpless Objects as a group or two or three in a mosaic.
