Description

The ghost nebula is not a unique or little known object, but in my opinion - one of the hardest (both shooting and processing) ones. Mainly cause it requires huge amount of data in order to become well visible and suitable for decent processing. I was almost desperate seeing nothing good happens at 12th hour of shooting. But still I'm happy I didn't quit and went on shooting. I got really lucky this autumn was MAGNIFICENT for astrophotography and I had the chance of going over and over again on the same object

So - details

R 36 x 180 s 1.8 hrs

G 39*180 s 1.95 hrs

B 40 x 180 s 2 hrs

L 292 x 300 s 24.3 hrs

Everything with QHY 22 camera cooled at -20 C in 7 nights between august and october 2019

No calibration files taken.

I used superluminance, merging my R, G, B data with masterluminance, having in result 30 hrs of data. Finally turned out to be sufficient for processing
