This image covers a region hosting nebula that is a mixture of reflection and emission nebulae and a couple of thin dark nebulae in the foreground as well extensive dark nebulae around the bright central one. This image combined the Ha image, or, more correctly the estimated Ha emission-line image (separated from the continuum) with an RGB image. The luminosity component is a modified “Super-L” image (RGB+L intensities), augmented by the extracted Ha emission line. Much of the detail comes from this constructed L component.
