Description

The WR 134 region in Cygnus is around 6000 ly away and contains a faint bubble nebula formed by the strong radiation from WR 134, a Wolf-Rayet star. Wolf-Rayet stars are typically very luminous and have burned through their outer hydrogen with fusion primarily being helium or other heavier elements in the core. While being only 5x the size of the Sun, WR134 emits 400000 times more radiation than our star. Surrounding this region are the faint Ha wisps that are found throughout the constellation Cygnus.
