Description

One of the biggest and brightest galaxies of the north, 12 million light-years away from us, viewed here in full and displaying intense HII regions in it's spiral arms. Has a beatufiul galaxy nearby- M82 or Cigar galaxy, but unfortunately with this CCD and 10" newt I was unable to fit both into field of view, but I have imaged them both, so M82 will come soon, with bursting HII regions of it's own. Due to imaging done from my backyard, the IFN is barely visible and it was quite hard to make Holmberg IX bright enough as well. Light pollution is bad, mkay?
