Description

A picture of Mars as it is moving away from us. The apparent size is already shrinking significantly, however, some details are still visible in my 10" RC. Larger structures as Syrtis Major as well as Mare Cimmerium are nicely visible with some smaller details. A large cloud system can be seen in the North and the polar cap in the South. In general the surface is still very detailed which, from this moment on, will hardly be visible with my setup. So I like to say "Good bye Mars!", see you next time!

The image scale is 0.13 "/pixel as I used 1.5 x Drizzle.
