Description

This picture covers a wide field of the summer Milky Way from Cepheus to Cygnus and the Eastern part of Aquila. The (rented) 1.4/35 mm Sigma Art lens is not perfect in the corners when operated at f/2.0, but reasonably sharp at the center. Because of the excellent sky transparency at the La Palma island site, even faint nebulae could be captured with only 30 minutes of total exposure, such as the wisps of Sharpless 2-126 in Lacerta, a really large HII region near the lower left corner of the image
