Description

One of the first targets I aimed to when I acquired a second-hand AP 130 EDFS, back in August this year.

I'm quite pleased with the outcomes.

Not abele to judge the overall color balance, but it looks good to me.

Title: Lighter processing, softer and more natural aspect

Description: Processed using the following steps:

Starting from R, G, B, L and Ha integrated frames:
* Channel combination R, G, B --> RGB
* DBE on RGB, L and Ha
* Solve RGB
* SPCC on RGB
* BXT on RGB, L and Ha
* GHS on RGB, L and Ha --> non-linear from this step
* ChannelCombination RBG + L (HSI, I channel for the luminance) --> preserves colors, leads to LRGB
* SXT on LRGB and Ha --> Starless and stars for both images

On starless Ha and LRGB:
* Continuum substraction from Ha (R channel of LRGB)
* LRGB Ha mix using PixelMath on the R and B channels (boost factors: 0.55 on R and 0.05 on B) --> L-(HaR)GB
* NXT on L-HaRGB
* LHE on L-HaRGB (large scale)
* UM on L-HaRGB (small scale)

Final steps
* Merge LRGB stars back in starless L-HaRGB (screen method)
* Reduce stars with PixelMath (use starless L-HaRGB)
* Apply light NXT
* Save and export to TIFF 16bits

Final touches (contrast, vibrance, etc.) in LightRoom
