      Description

Known by several names such as the Omega Nebula, Swan Nebula or perhaps just Messier 17. Whatever you want to call it, here it is in full SHO Hubble palette. A bit of a late milky-way season capture as it was already directly overhead when I started acquiring data but still managed about 17hrs of usable data across all three SHO filters before calling it quits to begin processing. Unlike some targets I've imaged, the Ha and [OIII] were very strong in the same regions so was a little more challenging to bring out the cyan/blue hues. Also, as is my style, I like to give the Ha/[SII] overlap regions a yellow/gold-ish look while the Ha-only regions are more red/orange.
