Description

For more testing, I thought what if I used luminance from my ASI2600MM but used my ASI2600MC with the Lpro light pollution filter for the color channels? For the luminance I used the Astrodon L2P filter. This testing is to see what works best from my bortle 6 backyard. This is the result. Not bad color. the faint arms show up. Needs Ha but waiting for the filter on backorder. I will take RGB with the 2600MM tonight and run again. It will be a fun comparison.

Description: 25x300sec RGB, combined in APP RGB1, processed in Pix with the same luminance as version A (which used OSC Lpro filter color data). I'm overwhelmed processing this "beast"! But I definitely find better color data in the mono RGB. Makes sense as all the photons are gathered. I still will reprocess using Pix ChannelCombination...but my wife says I'm on the computer too long today. (you should see me Pix desktop...28 image icons!)

Comparing both versions full screen, I believe using the OSC Lpro combination will have some benefits especially for the fuller moon.

Description: Same LRGB data integrated in APP, but this time I used Pix ChannelCombination. I think this is the best so far. the faint arms have been enhanced. still this is a "beast" to process.

Description: Combined some Ha from a gracious member. Combining Ha to RBG was another great learning experience. I ended up using Pixmath as described by Amy Astro. I used a boost factor of only 0.2 as the Ha data was so incredible. Thanks Rodd!
