Description

Like Van McComas says, "When the moon is out, shoot the moon"....

This is the crater Copernicus and the mountain range Montes Carpatus. I am using the Polish spelling to honor the great astronomer and mathematician...

The crater is 93km in diameter and more than 3k in depth. Approximately 100km to the North of Copernicus lie the Montes Carpatus rising about 2.4km above the surrounding mare.

While I believe my lunar imaging is improving, I still have a way to go to produce the quality to whch I aspire. I am battling noise with these images and I'm not sure where that noise originates.

But in any case, I love the hands-on nature of doing lunar imaging.

As always, any comments/criticism are welcome and Clear Skies to all!
