Originally classified as a Planetary Nebula, CBT-1's classification now recognizes it as a Super-Nova Remnant. The interpretation of unusual jellyfish-like protrusion toward the lower right entails a model involving the escape gasses into a background region of lower density while the predominant circular shell is expanding against a denser interstellar cloud.

Processing: This image's structure devolves from a separation of the Ha emission line from the background emissions and adding that component to the RGB components and the OIII emission line. The Ha received about ½ of the weight and the OIII about ¼ of the total weight. The processing primarily took place on starless images with the subsequent reintroduction of the stars. Artificial-Intelligence tools feature prominently throughout this processing.
