Description

My first "real" photo of the Milky Way in the Sagittarius area (so far I had only played around with my smartphone). The heart of the Milky Way - or, seen from Germany, the half heart of the Milky Way, since it is unfortunately not so high here - is one of the most beautiful structures in the night sky for me. As far as you can see them.

At my photo location it is at least dimly recognizable if you look long enough.

Since it is my first photo, I did not pay particular attention to the foreground - this is important for the overall impression, but you learn with time.

I was particularly amazed that I was able to take this photo with a cheap used lens - thanks to Patrick Bosse at this point. The Canon EF 50mm 1.8 in the old version. The focus was a bit difficult to find, but that's a bit of a hassle with lenses in general.

I am very satisfied with the result.

The second picture shows the Nebulas I have already taken in this region, matching the locations of the respective Nebulas in the

Milky Way photo:

M16 the Eagle Nebula

M20 the Trifid Nebula

M8 the lagoon Nebula

Missing is M17, the Omega Nebula. Goal for next year :-)

Thanks also to Felix Heisig for the tip with the trees. I can only recommend his site: https://photonengrafie.com/

Trees are the devil.
