Description

My first try at planetary stacking. I used the green filter of my RGB set, 10ms exposure. Sadly EKOS caps the frame rate, so I got only 6fps (in 16bit mode).

I used Planetary System Stacker to process the 14 best frames of 2 30s bursts (360 frames total) using 2x drizzle, plus some GIMP for cropping and slight intensity increase for the darker objects.

Image scale is 0.42"/px

I was quite pleased by the result, especially that all 4 moons of Jupiter are in, too. From left it's Europa, Io, then on the other side (bright) Ganymede and close to the right side also Callisto. If you look closer, you can see two bright points there. I think the lower (brighter) one is Callisto (6.7mag), whereas the other one should be HD191250, a 7.5mag F0 star.

Unfortunately, nothing of Saturns moons, as even the brightest, Titan, was only around 8.4mag :o
