Description

First testing for 2022 setup:
- Baader D-ERF 110 mm
- Altair Astro Starwave 102 mm f/7 with a 3" crayford focuser (about 2012 era fpl-51 OTA, everything taken apart this spring, cleaned and aligned, the lens assembly did not need any collimation. The focuser alignment with the OTA was bad and has been from the factory as I needed to scrape some paint away near the threads to get everything seated properly. After that some quality time with a laser did the rest.)
- Daystar Quark chromosphere (my old unit from 2015)
- Rowan astro T2 tilt
- ZWO ASI174mm
- DIY focuser motor & remote control system
- Skywatcher SolarQuest (tuned a bit by removing / locking the spring loaded gear assembly for both alt and az axis making the mount much more capable than from the factory when a heavier OTA is placed on the mount)
- Flats recorded through a DIY flat setup using copy film and cardboard & slightly unfocused as the copy film seems to be a bit too transparent for this purpose

Data acquisition: 
Light frames at 12 bit, about 81 fps, 2000 frames
Flat frames at 12 bit, about 81 fps, 500 frames
Gain around 129, exposure times between 5 ms and 6 ms
f/30 at the etalon (theoretical estimation)
Images shown at full size after some cropping during stacking

Sky:
Thin overcast so not the best imaging time. Seeing and the overcast really didn't support imaging with 100 mm OTA.

Results:
The jury is still out there but the setups seems to perform quite well. I need to spend more time adjusting editing settings and gathering proper data when the sky conditions allow. Maybe a little tweaking of the hardware too is needed.
