Description

Another NBZ shot with my modded Canon SL1 (100D), 500mm telephoto lens, and star tracker. I spent portions of 3 nights on this, first in my backyard in Ohio on my pier, the next two from NY on tripod, both bortle 4ish but the moon was out nearly full (amazing what these narrowband filters will do!). The first night I shot at f/5 the rest were f/4. Because of that, some of the stars have a bit of diffraction pattern. I may replace the f/5 data with another night at f/4 so its all consistent, and no diffraction artifacts. I may also try and shoot stars unfiltered, to cut down on the number of red stars that the NBZ filter produces and to get more natural star color. But I am very happy with the NBZ filter so far, the stars aren't too terrible and the moon was out last two days >90%. I am using a very low end dSLR in this shot as I have not modified my better ones.

Description: Tried AstroEd's method of splitting/combining OSC data only I just used R & G from my stack of IDAS NBZ data. Also slightly reduced stars. Needs a lot more work, and unfortunately data from my 100D camera is poor/noisy., but its a first attempt.
