Description

2021's first deep sky image for me - The nebula is believed to be the remnants of a supernova explosion for approx. 3000/30000 years ago 😮

At the top of the center of the nebula is a small neutron star thought to be the result of this supernova, as the nebula moves away from it at 800,000 kilometers per hour!

The nebula is approx. 70 light-years in size, and is about 5000 light-years away from Earth.

Total exposure is 12½ hours. 5.5 hours H-alpha 4.5 hours S2 2.5 hours O3
