Description

I rarely image galaxies but decided M81 was a good target to use whilst getting to grips with my new AZ-EQ6 mount. Despite a few communication issues with the ASIair-Pro I managed to get 24 x 300s of data with my ASI294MC. I actually took 36 x 300s but the first 12 had the wrong gain setting (139 instead of 120) so some new darks will be required before integrating those into the stack.

The stars still need some work but with guiding at less than 0.5" for the whole session I was pretty pleased with this 'trial" run.

Thanks for looking.

Description: Same OSC data but with added Lum (20 x 120s) and Ha (20 x 300s) to try to reveal more structure in the core and highlight the Ha rich regions in the arms. With the data I have I think I've gone as far as I can go.
