Description

Constantly evolving backyard playground. Our HOA will not permit outbuildings. I have a 12 foot patio umbrella that I move into place when not imaging.......and the Telegizmos (awesome telescope and mount covers) protect the kits year around. ZERO moisture has gotten to the scopes, so far. They have been through two hurricanes as well.

At age 75 and with precious few clear sky nights - I image with two kiits when the skies allow. From left to right - Vixen ED81s + AVX mount with Quark Chromosphere for solar imaging and viewing - ASI174MM-C camera and moonlite auto focuser.

Next, Stellarvue SV70T wide field with .80SV Reducer - 31mm Astronomik 6nm filters on ZWO 7 position filter wheel, L,R,G,B,Ha,OIII, and SII the +ZWO ASI1600MM-C Pro. The mount is an Orion Atlas Pro EQ/AZ.

I use Moonlight auto focusing systems for all three kits.

Guide Cameras are Starlight loadstars and guide scopes one ZWO the other Orion.

The last kit has identical equipment as the widefield with the exception the telescope is a Celestron Edge800 plus .70 Celestron Reducer.

The friend who designed and built my piers for both Atlas Pro EQ/AZ mounts is making one for the AVX/solar kit.

I use SplashTop Business to handle WIFI support between the two laptops and my inside IMAC in my home office. I had used TEAM VIEWER but tired of constant needs to reset .....it was free but a hassle. I also have two outdoor security cameras - one aimed at the sky the other at the kits so I can monitor the imaging sessions form inside!

Last - I use RIGRUNNERs velcroed on the scopes along with two converters for both kits, SAM LEX power SEC1235-M for power and USB hubs also velcroed onto the scope for data ...so there are only two lines leaving the kits, a data and power.
