Description

The summer has ended here in south-western Norway and the imaging season is here!  I took the oppurtunity of some warm, clear and still quite light nights to test the brand new Celestron 9,25'' EDGE that arrived this summer after 6 month waiting. OAG was a new experience for me, but I was surpriced how well it functioned with ASI174 that has a rather large chip (11,3 x 7,1 mm). Focus was done with Celestron focus motor and APT imaging software, and I soon learned that focus is absolutely chritical with this scope.   In this image the focus is good, but still not perfect.

The Ring Nebula was one of the very first object that I observed as a kid when I used Unitron 2,4'' refractor, an instrument that I still hold.  How fun to now be able to obtain images myself that only the larger telescopes in the World could get 50 years ago when I first saw this beautiful object.... enjoy, comments are always welcome.
