This is the last and most challenging of the three globular clusters that I imaged on 15 May 2020. This cluster just clears 10 deg altitude at my location, but it's maximum altitude at transit is blocked by a neighbour's house, as seen from my observatory, so I had to capture the data for these as it was rising at around 8-9 deg altitude. Even then I discovered that the green data was being imaged through tree tops, so most of that already thin data had to be discarded. To get a reasonable (and that is open to question) RGB image, I mixed the 4x2m usable G subs with a synthetic green made with the RB subs.

Overall the guiding this low down was very poor with Dec having the worst of times, resulting in egg shaped stars, which I tried to improve, but couldn't really fix in post processing.

This is a target that I've never imaged previously, so wanted it for my personal Messier collection which now stands at 101/110. Unfortunately there are 8 Messier targets that I still need that are even lower than M19, so I'm not sure when, or even if ever, I'll be able to complete the list.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
