This is the first completed image of my new mount (10Micron HPS2000 II Combi) .
It took some time to set it up - Had to get a new pier, and then realized I needed additional parts to turn the mount on/off remotely etc

and we have been having lot of clouds this year and I could hardly even test the mount. I had done rough polar alignment but didnt get a chance to refine it.
I built a 30 point model and it showed a whopping 30 arc minutes of PA error. In spite of that, the mount was tracking perfectly unguided!

I let it collect data on the Bubble during the full moon cycle and every single sub 10 minute sub on Ha had very good stars!

My plan was to collect OIII once the moon waned to atleast a quarter and like clockwork, we have clouds/rains in forecast. Last night I collected 3 hours of OIII and 1.5 hours of R/G/B.

This is one of the very few times I have RGB stars on an NB image (I just dont have good skill in combining them well) However, I figured it is worth gettting those colorful stars in this field.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
