Description

This is a composite of two separate images, showing Moon and Venus crescents side by side. Both taken in the same evening, on 30 March 2020. The angular size of Venus 25.1", and Moon is about 74 times larger (1847") according to the WinJUPOS ephemerides. Mediocre seeing conditions (4/10). Original full resolution image resized to 70%. Image C shows a cropped fragment.

Moon: mosaic of 19 images, taken with ZWO IR pass filter (850 nm+). TAL-250K prime focus (2130 mm).

Venus: pseudocolor image, L(50%UV)-IR-sG-UV composite. Taken with Schuler UV and ZWO IR pass (850 nm+) filters. TAL-250K, 2x Barlow, 4900 mm focal lenght. Venus image was rescaled accordingly to match the scale of the Moon panoram.
