Description

A couple of firsts for me, first time using an OAG and first time doing mono camera imaging of a galaxy. Not a great start with the OAG - it was intruding in the frame, but for this image, cropped as it is, didn't matter so much. Still playing with the right depth for the off axis mirror; i have since got it well out of frame but then stars were very elongated and poor for guiding... need some clear sky to see if latest tweak has the goldilocks zone.

This is my first go at doing LRGB as well, all previous mono imaging has been narrowband. I did do some Ha narrow band here as well to capture/highlight emission nebulosity.

I stacked in APP into the separate channels, then combined and processed LRGB in Startools 1.7. Haven't found a way to combine in the Ha in Startools (question for Ivo) but processed Ha separately as Mono colourised as magenta and blended it in lightly in PS to add some of the emission neb colour here.

plenty still to learn on this type of processing!
