Description

It is one of the most remarkable craters on the Moon with a diameter of 100 km.

Plato is framed by the Cold Sea (Mare Frigoris) to the north and the Sea of Rains (Mare Imbrium) to the south.

This walled plain has a triangle-shaped part that has detached as a result of a landslide. There are also 4 small craters with a diameter of 1.7 to 2.2 km on this dark arena.
