What a pleasant surprise. In wide field images of NGC7000, this dark nebula usually becomes a nothing burger for most imagers. In fact, it's hiding in plain sight like a chameleon. In this close up, it was interesting to tease out Lynds dark nebula to the right without losing the color graduation from the surrounding HII regions. I tried to keep the density and impact of the star field as sometimes I prefer stars in my images instead of simply reducing their pictures to water color impressions. Overall, I found this a really satisfyingly process.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
