Description

The last three nights have been clear here, but unfortunately the moon has been full/nearly full. I though I would see how deep I could do with NB imaging, trying to stay as far away from the moon as possible. [Not far it turns out as the moon is pretty far south at the moment]. I also wanted to try something really new, so I chose an object for which I can find no NB images on Astrobin. There is a lovely IOTD by Thomas V. David in broadband, which inspired me to give this lesser known RCW object a shot, and to include the lovely cometary globules on the same frame. Quite a squeeze I will admit.

I turned out better than I expected (I wasn't expecting much) but I really do need a bigger mono camera. And one that doesn't give such large halos in [OIII], although here they look quite photogenic

Title: 2.5years on - a new revision

Description: With 2.5 years more experience in processing, and much better tools available. I was never going to rescue a poor composition [tried to get too much in the frame] but at least it is better processed.
