Description

Finally finished up a project from November 2019. 5 months of clouds and waiting on equipment finally reduced my backlog to manageable levels. This is one of my favorites, though I don't much care for how its neighbor (the Soul Nebula) looks. Note the small nebula present above the heart, visible as a small but bright Oiii ring - this is WeBo-1, a small PN present about 2,500 l.y. in front of the Heart, which is about 7,500 l.y. away.

2022 Reprocess: more refined color management and non-linear stretch paired with much more effective star reduction and removal tools. I like how the color turned out on this one much more than the original edit.
