Description

My first M31! It was a very long night, started by testing out a 12V to 5.2V regulator to power my compute stick from the Pegasus UPB V2 12V since the USB was not able too, creating a container for the regulator and then getting it all attached to the tripier. This was my first time using the CEM60EC with my smaller scope the WO Zenithstar 61. I got it all setup and of course the cloud rolls roll in though it was supposed to be clear. Surprisingly I pressed on in hopes it would be clear and the iOptron iPolar was able to see enough stars though the clouds to plate solve and polar align. I then experience very strange pointing issues that eventually I resolved with a 3 star model on the mount but have never needed before. Typically I just level, polar align, sync on Vega and it’s done. Took me 3 hours to figure that out between the clouds coming in an out. But by 1:30 AM it was clear and I could point and I got some data of M31 and M45.
