Description

Here's my very first image where I set up a mono camera, filter wheel, and mount for an automated run in SGP. I didn't have an autofocuser on it yet, but will next time. Good thing the temp was steady and the OTA was carbon fiber. It was first light on my camera, filter wheel, and filters. I had Ha scheduled in too, but I accidentally set the sequence to end an hour and a half earlier than I should have. I blame it on this being my very first time using SGP Pro.  I forgot to set gain and offset so it is whatever it was at default on. I also accidentally left it at bin 2x2, so it is smaller than I was going to go for resolution wise. Cropped out stacking artifacts and the reflections of a bright star just out of the frame.

So, here it is, NGC 1555 taken from really dark skies near Marfa TX. I had just collimated the scope with a laser and autocollimator and finally had to go with the laser because the autocollimator and laser didn't agree, and the laser is a Howie Glatter with the circles attachment. Looks like the laser was accurate. All in all I am pleased with this one. Could it have been better? Sure, but considering it was my first time with this setup all together I am okay with this.
