Description

Have imaged this twice before but this was really to get to grips with my new telescope, so hence a large and bright object. M31 is a difficult target to image well, it has quite a high dynamic range with detail in the core that can be lost very easily; so a very huge amount of respect to those who can capture this and process it well. Looking at this image, and I find this quite strange, is that the stars north of M31 are tighter than the ones below............... I wonder if this is something to do with my setup.

I also took some Optolong L-enhance subs (intention to extract the Ha), so may add this at a later date when I get more data and hopefully get this to really “pop”.

Thoughts, feedback and tips on how I can better my processing skills are most welcome.
