Description

Another try at using LRGB with the RASA11.

This time the collimation is a lot better - but still room for improvement.

Subs used:

* 100 Luminance 120s binned 1x1

* 50/50/50 R-G-B 120s binned 2x2

After subframe selection, rougly 25% of the subs were excluded.

I used drizzle integration since I had some squarish stars pop up - this was solved by the drizzle integration.

As for the further processing: I struggle a lot with gradients due to light pollution. This led to a bit splotchy background which I had a hard time noise reducing and in the end I had to make it darker than I would have liked.

Next time I'll do shortes subs since the stars are quite blown-out. I tried to save the day by morphological transition, but the image suffers from its artefacts. Also I could not get appropriate star masks for the biggest stars, so no reduction there.

If anybody has a suggestion how to get rid of the star halos, please comment!

Anyhow, the processing of LRGB is quite new to me (been doing mostly narrowband) and there is still a lot to learn.... And yes, next time I'll go easier on the saturation
