Description

While I collected a few more narrowband subs on NGC 6334 Saturday night using Old Gold, I also pointed El Bucko at it, gathering 20 with the DSLR.

The extra NB exposure still left the Oxygen stack far too noisy, Sulphur as well. Somehow this region seems to be a much noisier part of space.

Anyway, I combined the nebula from the 20 on Saturday with maybe 20 more I collected last year with the DSLR through Old Gold. Then I combined that blend with the neb from an HOO combination.

Added the El Bucko stars back in (the colour is always so much better, and I love diffraction spikes, though the best ones were cropped out here due to rotational divergence...) and... voila: a ridiculously combined Cats Paw nebula.

I'm relieved, this one eluded me last year when nothing I tried seemed to capture it. Another imaging target that really needs dark skies, captured in the sneaky hours before a 97% illuminated moon rose and stayed all night.
