Description

The Rosette nebula is an emission nebula 4700 ly from earth, with a diameter of about 130 ly and a total mass estimated to 10k suns. In its center lies NGC 2244, a young star cluster (8My) containing about 50 stars, among which HD46223 & HD46150, type O stars 400 000 times brighter and 50 times more massive than our sun (visual magnitude of 6,75). (source Wikipedia)

Chrismas tree nebula (lower left) contains all three types of nebulae (emission, absorption, reflexion). It is 2200ly from earth with a 30ly diameter. It contains NGC 2264, a young star cluster (9My) with about 50 stars of spectral type O-B. (source Wikipedia)

IC 2169 (upper lef)  is a reflexion nebula 1700ly away. It is part of Mon R1, a vaster association of OB stars, including NGC 2245,NGC 2247 and NGC 2167 (various sources).

This was my first use of Starnet++ wich is quite a powerfull tool to manage star overwhelming.

Enjoy.
