Located in the deep southern constellation of Tucana, C104 appears on the outskirts of the Small Magellanic Cloud and is only about 3 degrees from 47 Tucana. Although overshadowed by its more famous neighbour, at mag 6.5 and 9' across C104 is an impressive object in its own right.

After initially capturing a centered image of C104, for this photo I deliberately placed the cluster in one corner to better frame the stars and nebulosity of the SMC whose blue colours contrast attractively with the older, yellow stars of the globular cluster.
