Description

An intergalactic collision - NGC 4038 and 4039 collide in a tangled mess. This duo is also referred to as the antennae galaxies. They are currently going through a starburst phase where this collision causes rapid star formation.

This image could benefit from some Ha data in the future. It consists of about 11 hours of data between LRGB.
