Description

I did this in two turns, one for the colour shots to match a different image scale and this one where I took only the luminance shots. The first time, after all was said and done, I realised the subject needed more oomph, that is a greater image scale. After all this is THE premiere SR this side of the Orion Belt! Misjudged, in hindsight, the amount of exposure needed ay f/10 so noise is lurking in the shadows. Realised that too late, when the window of opportunity (good seeing) had passed. Reprocessed the luminance in PI.

Title: Revised with RC's BlurXterminator

Description: Tested RC's BlurXterminator performance to see how much was created out of thin air and what actually was image based. The end results that it would improve upon dendritic structure whenever it finds any, adding a bare minimum of noise (compared to other techniques). Whether that actual "extra" detail is entirely real, that is another matter... Stars size seems not only to compress and regularize as circular (but not entirely to 100%) but diminish in intensity too, so de-emphasization by other means.
